Senior Backend Engineer

Overview

We're looking for a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing team at Nubis. You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance cloud infrastructure systems. In this role, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to build robust, secure, and efficient backend solutions that power our cloud computing platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance backend services using modern technologies
• Collaborate with frontend engineers and product managers to define and implement APIs
• Optimize application performance and ensure high availability and reliability
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy
• Implement security best practices and ensure data privacy
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot production issues
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong expertise in backend technologies such as Node.js, Go, Python, or Java
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Proficient in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices
• Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL)
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and DevOps principles
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
